Description

Bytemark, a leading web hosting provider, required an advert to promote their hand built servers as part of their hosting service.

The client was inspired by an illustration of a raised fist. This very soviet style image was duplicated and the phrase 'Built by Hand' was used (it's a bold and simple message that harks back to soviet posters of old).

In order to further give the advert more authenticity a variety of worn textures were used. The additional advantage of this is to give the advert a unique presence alongside the other, rather more sanitised approaches adopted by other provders.
