Description
The Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) is the international organization of Parliaments and was was established in 1889.
The IPU, in conjunction with the UNDP, required a minisite to promote and provide information for their Global Parliamentary Report, a document which focuses on parliament and it's ever-evolving changing relationship with the public.
The website was designed and coded to reflect the style of the report with navigation tabs reflecting the colours used in the cover. A 12-column grid within a 960 pixel wide framework allowed for a structured but appealing design.
Video plays an important part with interviews with many parliamentarians giving their views on various aspects of parliament and its relationship with the public. Pop-up windows with thumbnails allow for display of all videos within small space whilst keeping the visitor within the website and same page.
The site was also translated into French.
