Logo for high-end personal training company
This logo and look and feel was developed for a personal training company which wanted to target the higher end of the consumer market. Various concepts/colour options were provided with the client settling on this one.
The use of a classic typeface tempered with a contemporary sans serif provides a sense of sophistication and stability but also a little bit of modern thinking and approach.
The one-to-one relationship is highlighted in the use of 'g' representing the trainer and 'b' the customer (raised to give a sense of progress and balanced on a solid platform representing the supporting and holistic nature of the organisation).

24 page brochure for Romania's largest property developer
This brochure was designed for Impact, Romania's largest property developer who were seeking to improve the promotion of their completed as well as in-production developments and Romania as a country to invest in. One impressive project in Cluj a mixed development of over 3000 flats, 2500 houses and a range of business and leisure facilties.
'Different' and 'sophisticated' was the general guide so I decide on a 'curved' edge to the brochure as well as a nice use of metallic silver on the cover.
Inside a flexible structure was introduced with horizontal lines used as device from which to connect pages and hang imagery from.

Exhibition panels for Romanian property developer
Impact, a leading property developmer in Romania, required some panels designed for their stand for a property at Olympia. The stand was designed to promote Romania as a location for property with particular emphasis on the developments of the property developer.

Advertising concepts for web hosting company
HostingUK, required a set of advertising concepts which highlighted their strengths in areas such as their low costs, reliability, their partnering with hardware manufacturers as well as their heritage as an established provider and the bespoke services they offer.
I felt the black and white imagery (see below) provided a good visual style with which to seperate themselves from the competition. Additionally these sorts of images lend them selves to the use of humour with the use of straplines emphasising their service and expertise.
Unfortunately, the client decided not to go with these ideas but I thought I'd share them as I think some had a good degree of mileage in them.

Logo options for Urban Resilience report
Urban Resilience, a term used to describe how individuals and groups adapt and survive in hostile urban environments.
These logos were presented to the Small Arms Survey group in response to their brief for something which encapsulated this idea for a forthcoming report.
One of the main themes I wanted to explore was the use of a plant growing on uneven ground against an urban backdrop. Others were more direct with the use of bullets/gunshots etc - I wanted to juxtapose the fragility of the plant/flower with the destruction of armed violence.
The Small Arms Survey will decide which one to use in the near future but I thought I'd share these first.

Website masthead for
One Life Left
A videogame radio station, One Life Left, needed a masthead for their website/blog. As someone who listens to the show I thought I'd provide them with my take with a joypad/radio combination in a simple graphic style. An energetic colour scheme of black and yellow seemed to suit the nature of the show as well as the style of the illustration.
Their name logo style was already established, so I just added a strapline to make it a bit more meaningful.

Soviet-style advert
Bytemark, a leading web hosting provider, required an advert to promote their hand built servers as part of their hosting service. This advert was designed as a one-off approach to tie in with their presence at a forthcoming computer show.
The client was inspired by an illustration of a raised fist. This very soviet style image was duplicated and the phrase 'Built by Hand' was used (its bold and simple message harks back to the soviet posters of old).
April 2008
Advert development
As part of the ongoing development of Bytemark Hosting's advertising, a couple of new adverts were produced.
