Web hosting logo design

Bytemark are a leading web hosting company based in York. They are well regarded amongst enthusiast and technically savvy developers as honest, ethical and experts in their field. This logo was produced at the germination of their organisation when it was just two people – now it is over thirty with a million pounds plus turnover. The logo was developed as a nod to their hosting business using a colon at the front of the logo which refers to the first character which is used when typing in a web address or command line. For social media applications a simple ‘:B’ was developed in order to fit within the constraints of Twitter and Facebook whilst maintaining a distinct appearance at small sizes.
