A quirky membership brochure for hospitality professionals.
Quirky and a little different from previous visual outings for the Institute, the 2009 16-page membership brochure for the Institute of Hospitality was aimed at attracting a slightly younger audience to become members.
Keeping the typography simple and direct, the brochure relies on strong and engaging quirky imagery to maintain interest. The Institute suggested the rather quirky visual approach which I altered by adding uniforms and clothing to the birds reflecting the range of members.
Additionally, I created layouts which put the birds in communication with each other or directly with the reader using quotes from various membership, including Raymond Blanc – in fetching chefs attire – see second to last spread.
